Manual Therapy

Our owner, Lauren, completed a rigorous two year program in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT), which is an advanced form of PT focusing on finding and treating the cause of pain. This makes us uniquely qualified to treat complex, stubborn and chronic conditions that may not have responded to traditional PT or other treatments.

Dry Needling

Integrative Dry Needling is a highly effective form of PT treatment for a multitude of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. It is NOT acupuncture; it is based on neuroanatomy and modern science. A very fine, sterile monofilament is inserted through the skin into deeper tissues that are trigger points to your pain. The micro-lesion created breaks up shortened tissues, normalizes the inflammatory response, and mediates your pain. The environment created enhances your body's ability to heal, thus reducing pain. The treatment is relatively pain-free and is offered to non-patients for $30/session.

Graston Technique

Graston Technique® (GT) is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to  address soft tissue and fascial restrictions resulting in improved pain, function and range of motion. GT uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to deliver an effective means of manual therapy. The use of GT instruments, when combined with appropriate therapeutic exercise, leads to the restoration of pain-free movement and function.

Kinesiotaping

The Kinesio Taping® Method is a technique designed to promote healing while providing support and stability. Latex-free and wearable for days at a time even through showers, swimming and sports, Kinesio® Tex Tape is safe for populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric, and successfully treats a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and other medical conditions.
